Nomination Criteria

Automatic nomination:

  1. Gatorade Player of the Year

  2. Top-10 mark nationally in at least one event

  3. Break at least one all-classification record at the OSAA Track and Field State Championships

  4. Repeat state champion in at least two events

Consideration (must meet at least one criterion):

  1. Athlete of the Meet at the OSAA Track and Field State Championships

  2. State champion in at least one event

  3. District champion in at least two events

At-large nominations:

  1. An athlete may be nominated by a member of the Oregon Sports Awards voting panel

  2. An athlete may be nominated by a coach, sports information director or athletic director. Nominations must be submitted to the Oregon Sports Awards team
